NAME
finger - who a user is
SYNOPSIS
finger [user]
DESCRIPTION
The line about a person out of /etc/passwd — their name, home directory and
shell — and then whatever they left in ~/.plan, which is what a .plan has
always been for: a file you keep world-readable so that other people can read
it. It is the long answer whoami used to give.
rm ~/.plan and finger says No Plan., which is also what it has always
done.
